Its getting down to the nitty gritty. I've decided to remove a lot of gimme games to focus on more evenly matched teams. In most cases, these games will help determine seeding.

Does the contest run thru the regular season or playoffs as well??

I still believe whitehaven is the best team in Memphis this year - including all the privates and even with the loss to L.

play that game 10 times white haven wins most IMO.

Another run at state possible and east central is wide  open to a point this year. I think maryville could win rematch with O if that happens 

my crystal ball forecast

I end the  BGIM after the regular season is over and crown a winner. Then I do a post season BGIM, which, of course, lasts as long as Memphis area teams are still playing. When that is done, I crown a post season BGIM winner.

 

To date, I don't think I've one of them ... LOL.

There are still regular season games to play to determine seeding. Then, there is the post season. Believe me, I like your analysis and your crystal ball forecast ... but it is waaaaaay too early, in my eyes, to be counting chickens. We've got eggs to hatch.

However, I tend to agree with your Lausanne assessment. But I'm not going to take anything away from Lausanne. They came in our house, and throughout all of the distractions while facing an aggressive and very potent team playing in a jammed packed Whitehaven Memorial stadium,  in a very pro-Whitehaven atmosphere ... they beat us. THAT is very hard to do. Their fans were out-numbered probably 5-1, and their team was out-numbered 2-1. (They brought a very nice crowd, I might add) My hat is off to them.

I'm going to have to disagree based simply on the results on the field. If you watched that game, I don't see how you could come away thinking Whitehaven is The far superior team who just happened to lose that night. Whitehaven definitely made some mistakes, but Lausanne did as well. I think if they play 10 times like you said, its probably 5-5. Obviously that depends on how you play them, as if they played 10 weeks back to back, Whitehaven's depth comes into play for sure and they would win more. I said it before they played that I believed Lausanne could play with most teams in state for one game, but if they had to play an entire 6A schedule with their 40 players they would be in trouble. Could Whitehaven be the best team in Memphis? Absolutely. But to say they are after losing to the team that most would consider the other potential option is somewhat interesting. 

Obviously none of that means that Whitehaven can't make another run for a championship, because clearly that is the ultimate goal for all teams.
