Squatch wins this one by at least 10, smith doesn't have the heart to play with these boys for 4 quarters. Not impressed with anything I've seen of them on film. Only real concern i see going into this one is Squatch having to take 3 extra buses to the game. They can only sit one man to a seat on account of how big Squatch player's hearts are.

I just hope these officials let he boys play the game and stay out of the way. If they would stop interfering, we'd be 5-0 right now.

Big win over a ranked opponent. Sequatchie went ahead late, Smith drove down the field but was stopped with a fourth down sack at the Sequatchie 15 with about 10 second left. Indians ran the ball well and took lots of time off the clock including a 19 play, 9+ minute drive in the second quarter. Passing very effective too.

Smith was a very good team. York, Upperman, will be hard opponents too and can't forget a rival in Grundy. Indians will have to refocus for a winless Cumberland team with homecoming next week to put aside for a couple of hours on Friday night.

Rival or not you all will run us all over the field. We possibly have a 2 in a row win streak—never happened under Tate’s watch. Tate has already said Barger will give away his plays. Last year it was Woodley told Caine what Grundy does so y’all beat us. Good luck on the rest of the season except when playing us.

Congrats to both teams for playing a great game that was pretty clean and full of excitement.  Glad that the Indians pulled it out.

The clock management during the last two minutes was oh......how should I put this,,,,,,,it stunk!

By the way Smith County # 3, 6, 10, it looks better if you celebrate after you win not during the game you lost. . . . . again.

Sequatchie "does what they do." The coaches have confidence in the offensive line and the power run game. Not a lot of teams will run a fullback dive up the middle on third and 10, down 4 and needing a first down at the Smith 20 with 3 minutes left in the game but they did and they got it. Cumberland would be an easy team to overlook but it's a larger school and probably has tools to make it a good game, I'm sure the coaches will be on them to focus on the Jets.

Doubtful anyone will reveal plays. By that point not much will be a surprise anyway, it's just being able to move the ball or stop it.

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
    • That's a fair line. But if it's not over, that's a big problem.
    • RR, you think that changes this year, or at least improves? I know they had a couple of talented young receivers last year that made some plays later in the year. Defensive back was a struggle against any team that was above average at throwing the ball.
    • You would think they got a bunch of interest
    • You would think with football just three months away more would be talking. There's only so much a person can say about someone allowing the field to get painted without asking their boss who would have said ((((((((  ALE NO ))))))))) or all the other BULLS#!T they've done as they lead Maryville High into the new age of WOKE in a conversative town. I'm ready for some football news without hearing something coming out of 825 that Power Munger has done to cap off the week.
