Had a case a few years back in 5A where a 4 seed hosted a 1 seed in the Semi-finals.   I want to say it was Clarksville Northeast in 2013 maybe?

Clarksville Northeast hosted Henry Co. in Semis in 2013. Actually, I may or may not have been in attendance and been on the field for that game. :o (prior life). First time i had ever seen a Free Kick Try for 3!

I agree that the quarters in jacked up with that rule. The semis has been that way for a long time though. TC, being the regular champ in the region for so many years, they were always guaranteed the first 3 at home. Each year Semis would alternate though.

I believe Jackson County will beat Tyner. I'm not just saying this because I am a fan I am saying this because they are just now starting to click on the offensive side of the ball. JC has a lot of athletes and have weapons that teams haven't stopped all year. JC defense is not afraid of contact across the board, they are all put you in the dirt players. I believe it will be a close game. JC 21 Tyner 20

Tyner isn't great. They were in a very close game with Marion County. If you can't play them a good game then your team is very weak.

Were some players out against cannon co? Not saying you can't beat tyner just saying Jackson will have to play lights out and have a few bounces their way plus you're going to tyner they play with a little more juice about them at home..think it's those fish samidges

Our QB was out for the first 4 weeks. We had a Freshman start at QB for the first 4-5 weeks. With our QB back and healthy we have been putting up points. Yes we are on the road but its playoffs anything can happen

    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
