Wildcat1953
I agree Pearlball both should be wide open. Even Tullahoma in the boys they have played both leader close. Tournament not far away should be great tournament just played a long way away but great place to play
oldschoolhoops
I'm really surprised at how the regular season play has shaken out. I thought that Franklin County would perform better in terms of W/L's as well as Lawrence. Just based on press releases alone and not having watched them play except one time, it seems like Tullahoma is playing better and may be the surprise of the district this year. I predict an exciting game against Coffee Friday night considering the former and also considering that, while they continue to win, Coffee doesn't really seem to be playing their best ball. Individual stats here and there look pretty good, but on the court their team effort seems kind of piecemeal. So we shall see! Tournament will be exciting as well I believe! OldEagleEye
LMAO - Coffee Co is 8-0 and won those 8 games by a combined 200 POINTS!!!!!! Since the turn of the year they are 6-0 in the district and won those 6 by 120 points. You are gonna have bad shooting nights and gonna have a couple close games but for the most parts they have rolled. They beat Oakland and Cookeville at Cookeviile by double digits, pretty good wins. I guess your definition of good basketball and mine are totally different.
OldEagleEye
Tullahoma beats Lincoln Co by 7 at Lincoln Co and trailed for 3 periods and they are playing good ball lol Coffee Co beats Lincoln by 18 at Lincoln and they are struggling OMG Step away from the KOOL-AID
PEARLBALL
Coffee beats LC at the buzzer with a full court pass- Christian Laettner like shot from Vinson.. LC played their guts out. Coach Tipps and his girls deserve a lot of credit. The lack of cohesive offensive play is going to catch up with them in the district tournament I’m afraid. But give them credit, they just keep rolling and wins are really all that matters. Edited January 29, 2019 by PEARLBALL

I said Tullahoma was “playing better”, not that they were “playing good ball”. I said Coffee didn’t seem to be playing their “best ball”. Both of these statements are relative to each particular team and and my opinion- not to your definition of “good basketball”. I still believe the tournament will be exciting I think that Coffee wins the tournament most likely. I think 2-4 is anybody’s. 8-AAA is not the strongest district, so yes Coffee is 8-0, but a good chunk of those win margin points come from an extremely week Columbia team. It’s not a matter of “koolaid” drinking, I’m just looking at the whole picture and the long run. Pearlball reiterates exactly what I was getting at in the first place in terms of offensive cohesion, and it’s definitely true that if we put a W in the column we move on and keep plugging. Again, this is an opinion/discussion board, so please don’t twist my words. Edited January 29, 2019 by oldschoolhoops
Commodorefan
Coffee girls pull one out at end on Vinsons Buzzer Beater against improving Lincoln team meanwhile Tullahoma loses by 10 at Lawrence and Shelbyville predictably beats Columbia. Tournament should be a good one.

PEARLBALL
It was interesting for a moment when Tullahoma cut it to 2 points early in the 3rd and then CC rolled by 24. A solid win for CC heading into the last week of the regular season.
Commodorefan
Tullahoma dared Garretson to shoot and she did to the tune of 24. Vinson had 19 missing only 1 shot on the night. Good Senior Night for Morgan, Spry, and Vaughn. Two road games next week at Winchester and Shelbyville.
LadyCavsFan
Tullahoma has Cookeville at home tomorrow night. Hopefully CC tired them out.

Vinson does what she does putting up double doubles almost nightly to the point it’s almost taken for granted. All the girls have had great moments throughout the season. Tonite was Jenna’s turn. It wasn’t a bad strategy on Tullahoma’s part, but she really answered the call. They played their best game tonight in a few weeks. Hopefully they are coming together at the right time. The team on the floor tonight was the team we saw before Christmas. Proud of those ladies for clinching the reg season championship tonight.
