putnamcountyfan
York is and always has been a smash mouth football team. You may be able to beat them on the mountain but your gonna know you played them. York will hang with anyone they play with between the tackles. However they are hurting in the secondary. This may be there only weakness this year. I am pulling for York but if signal keeps it in the air it could go anyway. May come down to who has the ball last. The bad thing for 1A is they were manhandled by Coalfield earlier in the season. Yea... that's what we have to look forward too. As for this game? Contrast in styles to say the least. York lines up and grinds it out. Signal likes to play air raid. York wins by 2-3 scores. Signal is the underdog in this game a rightfully so York is 8-2 and little old Signal is only 4-6. But what O did the two teams run that beat York his year. Thats right SPREAD!!! And what O does Signal Run? SPREAD! My pick Signal wins by a FG! Edited November 1, 2017 by payner410 . Coalfield is better than most 3A teams. Good luck stopping York on the ground. Even in the loss to Smith County, after being up by 2 touchdowns, Smith never stopped the York offense. They stopped themselves on 2 fumbles, otherwise, York scored on every possession. In their worst performance of the season York scored 68 points and could have easily scored a lot more but held back. I never said anything about anybody man handling anyone I was just pointing out that the 2 teams that beat York ran the spread O. and that Signal ran the Spread too! If York had problems stopping Coalfield, they will have some problems defending Signal. They run it just good enough.......The Signal QB is almost as good as the QB from Coalfield. Signal is underrated at receiver. Got 2 that will be hard match-ups on the outside. Game might turn out to be a scoring affair. If that happens, I think Signal has a chance. Do not let the record fool you.. Played much of the season without the starting QB and in the Wing-T.

York didn't lost to anyone by 40-0 or 40-12 like the Eagles did, so while Signal Mountain may complete some passes, they will not stop the York offense. ChattownLB
York has not faced the athletic teams that Signal has all year. Signal wins 37-35 in a good one
payner410
Just make sure your kicker makes all his tries on PATs that is what is going to make the diff in this game is special teams. When York has to start every drive on their 20. That is something Signal does well!!!!!!!

If your gonna do it, you got to throw it and play very good defense.
ChattownLB
I said Signal has played more athletic teams all year that York has. From what I have been told by people that know Smith Co, they say we are similar to them skill wise. I have no clue about them. I just know for a fact that signal played a way more athletic regular season than York played.
