I was one of those that said all year that the gold was Huntingdons to win but still had my doubts that they would pull it off. But hats off to Cville, they were the one team all year that was good enough to capitalize on Huntingdons mistakes. Also, the Huntingdon team that put the beating on my Cats earlier this year would have hung 70 on Moore Co last week, that got me to thinking that HHS was running out of gas and losing focus, that untouchable syndrome

You don't really think WC would hang 70 on MC do you

Cornersville was penalized 2x for false start penalties and yes they did get a late hit and chop block panalty. ZERO holding calls from a running team who ran 95% all game. Huntingdon on the other hand was flagged for holding NUMEROUS times every time they got into scoring range. I did not think the game was officiated well

Yeah, I’m sure the refs had it out for Huntingdon. Do you realize how ridiculous you sound? Go somewhere quiet and read your post back to yourself. There were numerous holding calls missed on almost every passing play Huntingdon attempted.

Cornersville won fair and square. Huntingdon might be the better team, but they weren’t tonight.

Enjoy the 3 hour ride back and don’t be late for the layup line in the morning. Basketball season officially starts!

They can throw it around pretty good but won't if they don't have to. They run the ball very good and they wanted the clock to run. The only way to stop HHS was keep the offense on the sidelines

HHS's offense controlled time of possession tonight and was on the field more than not.... Their penalties at the wrong times and good tackling from C-ville kept them off the scoreboard.

I’d be curious to see the TOP. Felt like it was pretty even, if Huntingdon didnt hold the ball longer.

So Cornersville is mostly a running team? Can the QB throw pretty well? Not trying to crash this thread.Just from Huntingdon fans, curious about what they thought.Seemed to be a great game.Do they have a lot of speed,Big linemen? Was Huntingdon in scoring range very much and just didnt get it in or Cornersville just that good

Running team YES

Can QB throw YES-Mustangs decided to put all 11 in the box all night and they slipped a reciever out for 2 easy TDs

Speed-YES way more than I expected

Big lineman-YES they whipped Huntingdon up front just about all game on both sides

Huntingdon was in scoring range SEVERAL times then the yellow flag for holding came out

Yes Cornersville is that good. Not sure if either one of yall can beat the 2 beasts left in the East

No, the Huntingdon team that played WC this year would have hung 70 on MC. Huntingdon is loaded from top to bottom, but blow it in the playoffs every year. They've had three or four teams in the last six or seven years that were as good or better than any other team in the state, but same results in the end

Everybody said Huntingdon would blow through the playoffs and the championship game, gotta think it's Cville's to win now

Im hoping. Not matter what happens,LC has done well with starting just 1 senior on both sides of the ball and I think 1 junior

You all will have to play mistake free football that has plagued LC in years past. Cornersville will be just as fast and I dare say more physical. Better wear your big boy britches next week!

Nah, South Pitt is still the proverbial favorite. We’re not even focusing on the state championship just yet, though. We’re celebrating the win tonight, and it’s strictly Lake County starting tomorrow.
