This is a likely scenario. Tyner loses a lot and we will be rebuilding for 2019.

On a side note: Rememeber how we talked about the east and west dominance runs in cycles? Barring 2A the East dominated the West this year in the title games. I was somewhat surprised at how easy some games were. You never know when the tide will turn.

All the Memphis talk last year and you have 5 titles from the Knoxville area this year.

You are correct. I had maintained most of the season that the east in 1A would be closer than it has been this season. I was banking on it being 2018 before a gold ball came back east, but when Huntingdon went down I figured the east had a good chance this year. The Knoxville area this year obviously has a ton of talent. I say up here last night and watched that youngun from Maryville just completely disect this Cane Ridge team. That kid is 28 years old and lead them to a title. I'm up again, but Roy is still snoring this morning. He closed that karaoke bar down again last night at the hotel. I don't see how he does it.

Waverly will be a senior dominated team and Peabody has a lot of young talent as well to make them a contender the next several years.

The east will be between trousdale, meigs, Marion and Tyner. Trousdale returns everyone and if they can stay healthy they will have a chance to make a good run.

Our starting running back Albea should be back. Dickson will be a junior. Holbrook and Wilkins will be juniors. Baugus will be a junior. We lose a few lineman but all of our skill players were basically sophomores. I think we will be good. Was waverly’s qb a junior or sophomore this year ?

After 2018 Waverly is going to fall back off again, but I expect Peabody and Union City to be close each year for the next three seasons.

No I don't believe they will fall off immediately. We actually had a pretty solid sophomore class that's played for a couple of championships together in jr. high. They won't be "as good" but they may surprise a few people in that 2019 season.

Our QB and all of our key skill players were juniors this year except for two. So the whole gang will be back next year and hopefully we will making a run for that gold ball before they all leave, lol.
