So folks out West, I didn't see any "wiping up the field" or "Mercy Clock" on the East. Guess we are just a little tougher than you thought. See YOU next year. Great GAME! Waverly will be a senior dominated team and Peabody has a lot of young talent as well to make them a contender the next several years. On a side note: Rememeber how we talked about the east and west dominance runs in cycles? Barring 2A the East dominated the West this year in the title games. I was somewhat surprised at how easy some games were. You never know when the tide will turn. All the Memphis talk last year and you have 5 titles from the Knoxville area this year. You are correct. I had maintained most of the season that the east in 1A would be closer than it has been this season. I was banking on it being 2018 before a gold ball came back east, but when Huntingdon went down I figured the east had a good chance this year. The Knoxville area this year obviously has a ton of talent. I say up here last night and watched that youngun from Maryville just completely disect this Cane Ridge team. That kid is 28 years old and lead them to a title. I'm up again, but Roy is still snoring this morning. He closed that karaoke bar down again last night at the hotel. I don't see how he does it. Our starting running back Albea should be back. Dickson will be a junior. Holbrook and Wilkins will be juniors. Baugus will be a junior. We lose a few lineman but all of our skill players were basically sophomores. I think we will be good. Was waverly’s qb a junior or sophomore this year ? Yeti
I believe Meigs will be better this coming season then the one that just finished. Offense should be as good if not better. Defensively we have talented shoes to fill but I think someone will step up.

No I don't believe they will fall off immediately. We actually had a pretty solid sophomore class that's played for a couple of championships together in jr. high. They won't be "as good" but they may surprise a few people in that 2019 season.

So the whole gang will be back next year and hopefully we will making a run for that gold ball before they all leave, lol.

Marion and Tyner won't be where they were this season.
