Question:  Did Chittum lose to the Union County wrestler (Escaleara) who now wrestles for Wyoming Seminary?  It looks like he gave him a heck of a match.

Yes,  Chittum(the 8th grader) lost to Zeke Escalara(flo’s nunber 6 kid at 120)  13-10 in one absolutely barn burner of a match.  Chittum was the only 8th grader that the national prep committee offered an Invitation to wrestle to.l and he is the first 8th grader in 83 year history to be offered an invite to wrestle.       Chittum was unseeded  and had to face  Zeke (the 2 seed) the second match of the day.  After that loss, Cody the made one heck of a run in the blood rounds beating a Fargo AA before finally falling in the round to place to another Fargo AA.  Not a bad day for the little 8th grader from McCallie.

Impressive!!!! He was a fun kid to watch wrestle in the State Tournament this year. Where is Chittum originally from?
