Heard the Huntingdon Mustangs coming to Covington this week to scrimmage. Don't know day or time but promise you it will be competitive!

Great scrimmage Friday afternoon at Covington. Two evenly matched teams going at it pretty hard. Covington moved the ball well against the Mustang defense. Ground game looked good with a couple small fast backs. Mustangs threw the ball well and their run game improved as the scrimmage progressed. Covington looked smaller than last year but had very good team speed.

It was very hard hitting scrimmage for sure. Both teams pretty much moved the ball with ease. Our D started slow last year as well but improved a lot over the first few weeks.

The lineup for Star Therapy Jamboree in Dyersburg is as follows.... There will be four games on the docket beginning with Munford vs Crockett Cty, next game Brighton vs Obion Cty., game three includes Union City against The Haywood Tomcats and the final game scheduled to start around 9pm our Dyersburg Trojans vs The mighty Covington Chargers. The lineups base off last year finishes for each team presents in my opinion an evening of very competitive and entertaining football. This is one of the best Jamborees in our area. Hope to see you there.

I enjoyed seeing my Chargers back in action. It's been a long time since we played in Cookeville vs Alcoa last fall.

The offense looked sharp. After forcing the Trojans to punt on the opening series, it took just three plays for us to get the ball into the end zone.

Nice tune-up. Now let's beat Munford Friday nite to open the season.
