Coach Martin probably is gonna roll out his most talented team since the 2014 state championship roster with a D1 player at nearly at every position this year he has a experienced group of seniors to lead the way. The lions boast a very good arsenal of weapons on offense with a experienced and athletic QB a Ohio State bound linebacker seconding as a running back and 2 WR’s with FBS offers outside. The oline has some question marks around it as they lost 3 starters last year but there are plenty of guys ready to step into starting roles. The defense has plenty of talent as well led by a Ohio State and Furman commit. The lions will scrimmage against Maplewood and Springfield before kicking off week one at Stratford followed by a date at home with cross town rivals ensworth who looks to avenge the upset the lions pulled last year.

22 D1 players could be sum kinda record......that co-opin Luzianne team dint even have a D1 player at every position last year and they overwhelminly amazin ........think sumbody stated on here last year those Presbyterians may b as good as that 2014 team that eeked out a Gold all gainst them Goons up in Aluminum City in 2014....... the Irish can be praised for helpin serv up that championship to the Presbyterians

.....Murphys pole says the presbyterians got the most d2-AA pre-season all-state studs but they ant even gonna win the middle

Booger thinkin u presbyterians ant gonna get to repeat that 40 sumthin to nuthin routa of Haslams Pilot Petro School of Knoxville in 2018......your gonna finish 1 or 2 in that middle with your backups and Webb ant gonna see nare one of those positons.......unless the Irish slip out of the food chain......yall got it goin on year after year and spect nuthin else this comin season..

..yall presbyterians may put another 40 sumthin on sumbody in the quarters, but it ant gonna be Webb

CPA should win it all this year. Do it now cause in next 3--4 years you will see a drop off with CPA. It's not due to support in the school, it will be due to lack of competition in the are, no team to push them. Prior to 2010 when Martin arrived, Goodpasture was the bell cow CPA could not get passed. Add in that other privates such as DCA were fielding very competitive teams. CPA ran off the prior coach due to angry parents and hired Martin and it has proved to be a great move. Now 8 years later teams such as GP, JP2, LA have let thier football teams go to pot, CPA does not have a rival local in D2AA.

Oh I think you will get your wish about getting pushed this year.  May be in the playoffs, but will definitely happen.  CPA may still come out on top at the end.

i'm not saying that they will never get pushed by other teams around the state. However if you don't have the Lipscombs and GPs putting the same emphasis on football, what does it matter? Even if you win several more football state championships, does it really mean that much when all you do is play and win 1 decent game in your class each year? i think in the long run it would be better for CPA to play up against MBA, BA etc as they proved recently against Ensworth that they can compete and win.

winnin a Gold Ball is winnin a Gold Ball.....U r assigned to a particular classification because of the student body number u have turnt into the cerebral wizzards of the T$$AA...regardless of whether that number is accurate or not.....so the idea that one has not earned that Gold Ball because a wahoo deems it not worthy cause of persective is straight jacket stuff....

....that bein said this new classification format for privates has provided for sum very weak schedules in each group....is what it is...but one can find a bigger friday night fight out of region if they want and that schedule will tuffin up come playoff time...as it should...

.....must wahoo b educated to the fact that the Presbyterians would not actually b playin up gainst BA and Ensworth.....the presbyterians, BA and ensworth r basically the same size...especially ensworth...who may really b smaller than the presbyterians......and the recent win over ensworth was not that special......now eakin out a win gainst ensworth was awesome win it comes to beatin the brand.....they have fallin off a bit and wernt that good last season.....but dont worry..the Presbyterians will b more than likely b up in that D2-AAA class when the nezt re-order comes around......there r a lot of people convertin to the presbytery over there in that area and CPA numbers will grow...so they dont have to rush no move to play up...

...unless they fille they need to b in the south nashville area recruitin war with BA and Ensworth

I don’t think you’ll see numbers jump at CPA until more buildings are built or enlarged.  I think 86 eighth graders applied last year and only 2 were admitted.

....everyone cant b a BA'er and the new stink is worn off that Ensworth stuff.......so that leaves all them leftover south nashville Baptist, Church of God, Church of Christ convertin to Presbyterians......Booger wouldnt even b shocked if a few of those Sword O  Joshua Independent Full Gospel Pentecostal Asseblians and Witnesses to Jahova wernt convertin to get a parkin spots off of ole hickory road

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??

Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
