Great Coverage KNS of the Local Jamborees last night NOT

Well I would guess for sure Pilot isn't going to have their Football Book this year. They stopped giving  a free paper on Friday and Jimmy cut 50 people out of a job at the office. Even worse than that he raised the price of their 99 Cent Gas Station Hot Dogs. This all wouldn't have happened if he hadn't drafted Johnny Football and paid him a fortune just to go out and party it all away. What a mess.

Newspapers are for us old school fans. I found out the results of the jamboree games on Twitter. 

But I looked so forward to getting a KNS every Saturday morning just the read about the games on Friday night. I guess those days are long gone.

same. i remember as a little boy waking up and going to my grandparents every saturday morning for breakfast and they would always keep the paper for me to read about the games the night before.

After 50 years of subscribing to the KNS I cancelled my subscription last year. Sorry rag, wouldn't put it in the bottom of the bird cage .... if I had a bird.

Reading the Prep Xtra section on Fridays was the best. I didn't get much done in school on game days thanks to that.

Same here.  It's become nothing more than the USA Today Knoxville Community Edition.

Pretty sure Packer is doing a website in conjunction with Pilot and tying it in to TNR.  Perhaps they are doing one.  But I haven't seen any kind of magazine, although it's been months since I have been inside a Pilot.

I guess when I think of Pilot I can't get the image out of my head back when I went to UT coming home on Alcoa Highway and I must of passed 200 cars on the side of the road all the way to the airport. Turned out all of them got bad gas at the Pilot and that has stuck with me all these years.

Went into the Pilot in Maryville Saturday and the lady told me she had had many inquiries but had been told it would be the end of August or early September before it is out, or at the half way point of the season practically this year. Ironically they had a stack of 20 or so from last year still in the rack, along with several Vol Football Previews with Butch Jones on the front.

If it is anything like last years book why bother, that's why there are still 20 of them from last year on the shelf. Maybe one of the 50 employee's Jimmy let go this past week was responsible for this book so it is being delayed until someone left picks up the slack.

I darn near bought one until I noticed the older Mayes kid from Catholic on the cover and gave it a better look.
