Campbell County is coming off of a bye week at 2-3, while Powell drubbed Lenoir City, improving to 5-1 for the second consecutive year. Now, we'll see just how much the Panthers have improved. The Cougars blew out Powell last year, 49-13, bringing the Panthers back down to earth after their surprising 5-1 start.

This is a huge game for both Powell and Campbell County. The Cougars have been up and down this year, especially after suffering a crushing defeat to a struggling Gibbs team before the bye week. Their best win to this point is probably Morristown East. A win likely puts Campbell County in playoff position, especially with Karns and Clinton still remaining on the schedule.

On the flip side, the Panthers will clinch their first winning record and first playoff berth since 2012 with a win. Powell has played tremendous defense this season, although they've not really beaten anyone of consequence. Their best win to this point is probably Lenoir City. Their close loss to Fulton is probably more indicative of the improvement that this team has made. Should be an entertaining game!

Like I told everyone before the season started....Powell is my surprise team this year. I like Powell in this game by at least 21 points.

That should favor Powell I would think since CC seems to revolve their offense around the passing game, although a lot of them are short intermediate routes and screens. In this weather I will take Powell 24-14 or so.

Panthers lead 14-7 at half. Steady rain so far. Over 200 yards for Powell. About 70 for the Cougars, but they did return a kickoff for a TD.

CC killing themselves. Powell is too with those penalties. Lots of missed opportunities for both squads.

Francis is killin' it. Goodlooking back. Powell seems to struggle when they get to the red zone.

Powell has had penalty issues all season. Been sloppy all around tonight.

Figures this would be a great game, and I'm stuck out of town "trying" to watch online. Of course, there are "TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES," so I get the Rams v Vikings instead. Keep the updates coming boys!
