Hey we will take one of those the last week or first week of playoffs, since our boys wont have a game for almost three weeks!lol

Call up a local 6a team that didn't make the playoffs and schedule a "scrimmage" that first week of the playoffs. Charge for it, make some bank and stay sharp for you run to Cookeville. What do you think?

That makes sense from a schematic standpoint. We have zero depth this year, after losing so many seniors, and only having 6 seniors playing meaningful minutes this year. Our young pups will benefit from this season's hard lessons next year. They probably can't see the silver lining in those clouds quite yet.

One thing's for sure.....we didn't have to worry about playing a better team than we faced week 1! Finish strong my friend.....keep the hardware in ETN!

Thank you sir. Much respect to you and your son.  You did it Right!

I really wish we could do something like that I know they won't let us but two weeks without a game going in the playoffs is almost a death sentence!

Never argue with THE HAMMER! But, he will..... :popcorneater: I just feel really awful we're ruining your schedule strength this year. Sorry guys.....

Not ruining our schedule at all. Things happen during the season. Injuries to KEY players can drastically hurt any team. I guarantee there are a bunch of teams that would have never scheduled GCA for an opening game. Especially with CRB at the helm. :thumb: I hope we keep the series alive. Always enjoy playing against CRB teams.

That really frustrates me. The admin from local big schools run away like scattered chickens during football season, but have no problem scheduling Alcoa in other sports and raking in the gate.

Yeah, I don’t understand that philosophy. Good teams should want to play other good teams non-regionally because it’s only going to prepare them for the playoffs win or loose. Egos get in the way worrying about losing rather what’s really best for the kids. My son is a senior this year and when he was a sophomore CPA took some hard losses to the non regional schools but they still almost faced you guys in a fourth straight championship game.

2 Atlanta teams with 3K+ students

2 Knox Catholic

4 Pearl Cohn

4 Ensworth

2 Smyrna

2 Hillsboro

2 Independence

I’m sure at the end of the day the excuse will bump up to, “GB won last year because those teams were down. Those teams are great now, and GB won’t play....” lol! It’s always a no win situation for the teams that always compete and win. Just gotta learn to love all the hate...

oh u ought to have to deal with Spartys Catholic hatin poddercastin partner down here in Chattanooga......she got ND filed 9th in the area.....had the Irish 10th last week.....and Sparty had to keep her from jump startin a glock over the Chattanooga TFP listin Soddy Daisy 4th last week

Looks like Webb had too much soles for CCS. Win 35-7. Was anyone at this game?

I was there. Very disappointing game for CCS.

These teams should NOT be 28 points apart. Obviously, Webb has the speed players and will score at least 3 easy TD's a game against CCS, but the fact that CCS only scored 7 surprised me. When you're playing 11 on 11 in between the hash marks, it only takes 1 missed block to ruin a play, which happened often.

Interesting. I know you guys are big up front. Will probably match up better up front against  ND than Webb did?
