They were just the second most winningest team from 2000 to 2012 or so. Right behind the Spurs that you mentioned.

I get it. There have always been great teams that had dominant runs. But even those past great teams like the Bulls had some good series.  Come on, man. Did you even watch the Warriors playoff run this summer? They won most of those games and most werent even close. They never really had to sweat. It was boring...

I agree. The current Warriors won most of their playoff games convincingky last season. Can they do that for two more years? Three more years? Five more years?

NOPE. I doubt it very seriously. Doing what Bill Russell did probably won't be replicated by any other franchise. Doing what Michael Jordan did, 'might be'. However, in my eyes. anything else is "Also Ran".

Let's see how GS does over the long haul.

Actually the Rockets had the Warriors on the ropes in the Semis and if Chris Paul had not missed game 7 who knows? I know the Durant thing ruffled feathers but you had Ray Allen and KG joining Paul Pierce in Boston, and then Lebron and Chris Bosh joined D Wade in Miami. I think some people fail to realize outside of Durant the Warriors drafted most of their roster and won a championship prior to Durant's arrival on the scene. Pretty sure Curry, Draymond Greene and Klay Thompson were drafted.

It doesn't matter if they were drafted or aquired in free agency. Who cares.

They aren't the first team to have a wealth of talent and dominate the league. They won't be the last. Regardless of how the player got on the team.

Loved or hated... the New England Patriots turn out a championship quality team year in and year out regardless of talent.  Coaching is a huge factor in dynasty success.  A lot of people hate Bill Belichick but have to watch in awe when his machine is hitting on all cylinders.  I am amazed how many times he has taken mediocre talent (at that level) and turned them into champions.

Look at the teams in TN at the high school level that are year in and year out contenders - the main constant is typically coaching and a strong community backing.  Unfortunately this goes both ways... teams that suck year in and year out or even those that are perennially average tend to have sucky or average coaching staffs.  I think a travesty in high school football today is the lack of loyalty (just like college) to a community and a program.  But in fairness, if the program in your community sucks - then it is harder to motivate kids to stay home.

Recruiting and "next level" focus have spoiled high school FB to some extent IMO.  I get it... its about the kids' futures and potential money for college, but many from this generation have lost the concept of pride for their community and following in their family's footsteps.  Great positive example last night watching Drew Brees break the all-time passing yards record playing for "his" team... a team that has certainly seen highs and lows... but nonetheless a team that he stayed committed to and passion about.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
