reddyrebel6
Really surprised no one from Whitehaven has started this topic yet. I know both teams would really look forward to a rematch with Germantown in Round 3 if they make it. Houston has not lost since losing to the Red Devils in week 2 and Whitehaven's three losses have been to teams with a combined 32-0 mark in the regular season. I look for a high scoring game if both teams have their A running games on Friday. Does Whitehaven still have an intimidation factor on its side against Houston? My prediction is Whitehaven 41-34. Red Rebels
I've looked on the Germantown Municipal School District website, the Houston High School website, and I can't find any mention of who Houston High School is named for. When they handed the school over to GMSD from Shelby County, did anyone get the school history. Just wondering. A Google search has turned up nothing. dannyq
Gonna be tough sledding out at Houston but I think this team can beat anybody in the state of Tennessee on any given night. Whitehaven 35 Houston

I think it’s named after the street that it intersects with; Houston Levee which is a main road that runs through the Germantown/Cordova area. Still no clue about the history of it tho. We come out focused and minimize self inflicted wounds we should win convincingly. We play how we played two weeks ago and it’s gonna be a long disappointing night. Houston is one dimensional as far as I know and that will play into our favor. Our oline will have to play much better from here on out. We all know that many schools in Memphis City and Shelby County School were named after the streets they were on or the neighborhoods they were in. WilsonJr1990
Not expecting this to be very close. Houston has not played anyone very difficult while Whitehaven has played one of the toughest schedules in the state. Whitehaven wins handily, setting up the rematch that everyone wants next week. This is going to be a good game.
Respect901fball
This game is going to be pretty good. I picked Houston to win ONLY because I've seen the way Whitehaven can play when the calls aren't going their way. This game is going to be at Houston where i'm sure they'll get the benefit of the doubt on some calls. Whitehaven will self implode. MY prediction
wolfchase
Agree with the Senator. Da Haven by 2 touchdowns

Do you still think this will be a factor? I've noticed in the playoffs, on our end of the state, sometimes you get officials who aren't used to calling 6A schools in a big time environment. We've had crews, who you can tel,l aren't used to the speed of the game.
