Same single wing he ran in 2011 with T Warbritton at QB and the whole line back. Same thing they run this year. Notre Dame box  wing. His playoff record is not good, there’s no arguing that.

he was still running a ton of the under center double wing in 2011 didnt switch to primarily the shot gun double wing until he had to in 2012.  Just think our fans think we are going to win a state championship every single year. We have won 1 in school history.

No you didn't. Y'all spread the ball around with that misdirection to perfection in regular season then tonight became very one dimensional except for the few pass plays. Someone posted earlier that you can't keep running the same thing and keep advancing, well that's wrong to, you better keep running what got you to this point and putting 50 points a game on the board or this is the result you get. If it ain't broke don't fix it! As for the play calling, I thought Cville was a little off their game and gave up some opportunity's by running the same play to much on the first couple drives before their coach opened it up a little. Your better to adjust what your already doing as the game goes than to come in with it already adjusted. I hate the way the season ended for this group of boys from Huntingdon, they will always be winners, lots of teams would trade records with them over the past two seasons so keep your heads up boys and be proud of a great two year run y'all seniors had

Horse shixx sorry

99.9% of the Mustangs were born and raised here in Huntingdon and have been playing together since flag and youth football. It's called tradition. It's what you do if you are a male in Huntingdon. No one knew what a Cornersville Bulldog was until last year

what about now

Sure do hate the streak ended tonight. Was looking forward to another 50 point running clock game on the magic carpet. Final game on the turf this year. At some point Huntingdon will lose a game on their new turf but it ain't happening this year or next! Stangs move on to the semis in Tiptonville and put a running clock on a very average Lake Co team

“50 point running clock”

Obviously this game can't be.  I said if the teams from LAST year played 10 times Huntingdon would have won 9 of them.

Now if you want to talk about this years teams.  If they play 10 times, Huntingdon will win 10 of them.

can someone double check this?

Only problem with that is we would not be able to play Cornersville in a 10 game playoff.  After the first couple of butt whoopings, Cornersville would go back to their corner and sulk.

you might be lucky to get 2 wins

Cornersville is way too outmatched for Huntingdon this year. Huntingdon is alot faster and stronger than they were up front last year on both sides of the ball and when you have playmakers like Ensley, Robinson, Willis and Lawton, theres not much they can do.

glad we showed up, I guess.

Combined record of teams still playing that Cornersville and Huntingdon played during season.

Cornersville's opponents 0-0

Huntingdon's opponenets 17-7, Waverly & Milan, all 7 losses to teams still playing

lol remember when people used our schedule as an argument point

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
