I’m rooting for Waverly this week for the pure reason that they beat us and they deserve our respect. By Peabody is a lot better. They have an incredible defense and I guarantee if they got the chance to play GC again they would beat them really bad. Waverly has a pretty good offense and a much better defense than they had earlier in the year. But waverlys offense is not unstoppable and their defense can be moved on.

Rooting for Wavo but pick Peabody to win. That makes sense

Strength of Schedule bud. Easy to do when Peabody has the 42nd toughest schedule out of 47

At the start of the year it was 9th we can’t control how the others faired. In the past they were very strong, but the important thing is we are here be ready because Peabody will make this a game. So we are good enough to be in this conversation lol

You don’t think waverly has a chance?

They have a Chance. But I think they’re gonna have to get at least 3 or 4 stops to win. Waverly has a good offense but it’s nothing Peabody can’t handle. But I don’t think, despite the fact that they’ve improved, that Waverlys defense will be able to hold Peabody down

They could hold us. We haven’t really been facing athletic defenses that can match up with us. I think wavo can match our athletes. Offensively for them will be tough our D coordinator will put together a good game plan to win.

I think they have the athletes as well. But maybe not the disciples for 4 quarters.

    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
    • I was kind of surprised to read this. I thought the general concision was most programs are going back to natural grass. Personally, I have never liked turf. I see the arguments on both side for or against it. I just never liked them. Also, I did not know there as an impaction test that these fields had to pass. Good stuff OP
