LB’s definitely go to Whitwell. But will they play a big roll in the pass coverage? More than likely not unless their pressuring the QB. Run game will be hard to come by but GB will need to establish somewhat of a run game to even be able to pass the ball. Overall, it’s about as even as it can be.

Our LBs drop in coverage to hate to keep bringing it up but we had a LB run with one of your WR on a go route he actually had a chance to INT it but your WR made a great play to break it up

I like our #15. He’s a junior that just started playing LB this year and he is our leading tackler but other than that I agree.

He’s a good LB for us but nothing like Whitwell’s. But he also has another year to get better. And WingoVFL, no we haven’t played skill players as good as Whitwell’s but in the passing game, will they be able to drop and cover the zones? Won’t be able to play straight man coverage or it’ll be a long night. But will we be able to tackle?

Not taking anything away from the play but that receiver is about 5’4” and hasn’t played receiver much for us this year anyways. He’s more of a defensive player.

I didn’t say he was better but he’s having a good year to not have never played it before. Whitwell has the better LB’s.

They have played zone before we was just playing man against SP cause we was more worried about 9 and 7 beating us than the QB and passing

The thing I think Whitwell D might have a tough time defending is the run/pass option from our QB. If y’all are in a zone and the LB’s are dropping, our QB likes to take off. So will they be able to drop and cover the zones and then come up to stop the QB if he scrambles? Now it’ll be a different question if there’s a spy LB which there probably will be but we’ll see how it goes.

Our base offense is RPO

We have played two pass offenses that were better.GCA and CAK at the time.Neither one has any resemblance of a run game tho and line play wasnt good. But as far as athletes in the passing game those two teams were better at the time before Howell at cak got hurt. Are there any comparisons to Whitwell as a whole? no because Whitwell is a very good balanced Team all the way around. We will be fine if the want to throw it around but their bread and butter is the power run game.We want them to throw it! The question is can we be physical enough and Tackle well enough to stop the run game that's where it's at.offensive line and defensive line have to come to play or we could get run off the field!

If you’ve seen film, the plays that will HAVE to be stopped are the jet sweep on the edge with a FB and pulling guard lead blocking, and the direct snap to RB with FB, QB, and pulling guard lead blocking. If we don’t meet the blockers head on, they will get the edge all night. DB’s must have a good game tackling and LB’s must scrape over the top to help. Gonna take a complete defensive effort. And that’s what it will all come down to, how much effort will you put forth? Lay your body on the line for the guy beside you and stick them every single play.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
