Well we wont know for sure till fall, with the baseball team doing as well as it has and is expected there is no reason to have it without all our players.I do expect a few days of shorts and helmets to get some of the new guys familiar with our schemes. We return a very big physical line on offense and our front seven on D will be better than the past few years. Our secondary should also be improved.QB is a question mark and also RB as of now, those questiins should be answered by the start of region games. We should be an outstanding defensive team with a run heavy Offense. We may struggle in our out of region games,i expect Loudon to be much improved and they return Action Jackson who is the best player we have played against the past two years and Lenoir City will push us just from the shear size of the 5A school.Have alot of question marks but i expect us to be a very good team by playoff time. Our coaches have done a great job of getting our boys ready.

(Im sure you are being kinda of sarcastic in the question for Bassys sake but figured i would give you all my synopsis LOL)

I garuntee you wont no until fall because all the durn transfers wont be there until then.  That Ryan man gets them their in the fall so he doesnt have to list them in my Murphy Fair book.  He can trick Grider like that.  You think im joking but im not.

Dad Burnit, From sources in the breakroom, it is obvious the term “IT’S COMING” should be taken seriously by the kinfolkes round the jailhouse! Who ever heard a bat toting feud score 23-1? Rumor is it should be close to 30-1 ifin the bat Toters coach hadn’t called off the dogs! LOPAO, at ease fellers! OP knowds tho ain’t a bat Toters thread.

Old pirate I garuntee I asked that man at Ronnies red eye and he said them jailhouse fellars wouldnt let our boys bat but twice.  What kind of mess is this? The kinfolk is making up rules.  I thought a baseball game was nine innings not two innings.  This is a bunch of mess. You think im joking but im not.

I just had a chance to see some of the football guys I haven't seen since football last season, and OMG, some of them have worked so hard in the weight room.  I salute the coaches or coach who put them on a strict program and also to the guys themselves with the will power to want to get bigger and faster. Since I've watched SP football for over 40 years, I would have to say this group of young men have put the work in more than any other class I have ever noticed. You can see the difference by just there looks. Hope it translates to good things on the field this year. Keep your heads mentally sharp and keep working hard.  You all know who you are, so again, Congrats for the hard work.

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
    • No movement on Chester? South Gibson? Gibson County?
    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
