#1. You forgot Pot Graves---yes he was Co-head coach. Maybe you do not remember that.

#2. Her choice for basketball coach before this one was a dreadful mistake that cost them what should have been at least a District championship team for  2 years.

#3. The three finalists are  nowhere  near the  caliber of those you have had before them. Not  even in the  same stratosphere.

Like I said, go ahead and make your mistake. No reason to wait now. Damage is done.

1 Graves was named  co interim with Andetson for one season after Coutras retired late and before Mullican was hc

2 she didn't hire hthe previous bball hc that was Pelham

3 What quality applicants did she have to choose from?

The real damage was done in choosing Anderson's repladement, again that was Pelhams pick.

When Terry and Pot were named Co Coaches it was still done by the board. Same thing when Mullican was hired. If Anderson had been hired instead of Mullican he would have never left.

That was before sight based leadership,  when most decisions were made at the central office including head football coaches. Overton tried to circumvent that by Coutras retiring just before the season began. Principal Stanfield clearly wanted Andetson but the board named co coaches befote sending Mullican the next season. Anderson got tbe job he wanted, but had pitstops at Hillsboto and Antioch first.

Heard earlier, that the players at Overton were against the supposed hire (Davis) and went to the admin (both Principal and Athletic Principal) and vocalized their concerns, which has thrown things back in disarray.   Any hearing anything similar?  Personally I hope he gets the job, I remember watching him play at Vandy and have met him personally on several occasions.

They could either play or turn in their stuff too.  If the players are running the team decisions then that is a major issue.  A lot of successful coaches weren’t the players #1 picks over the years.

Couldn't agree anymore with you!   Players or Parents running the show is never a good recipe.

    • What’s sad Barney is the cards in the deck are stacked against them.  With the success the MAVS are having just down I-75, any talented players are heading that way. I always said what the Price twins did there was second to none, making the playoffs and winning a playoff game is the ceiling there. On a great year, maybe a q-final appearance but that is a big stretch.  Finding a coach there is very tough. I feel for the new coach, he’s in a very bad situation and I’m not sure he even realizes it. I understand he wants to be positive and have hope, but I don’t see them scratching a win. Maybe he will prove me wrong.
    • I agree, 2A is the only class in thet state where the west side of the bracket is tougher, not taking anything away from Marion county at all but they should run that side for years to come
    • Should be a big week in Dayton coming up with the 100th anniversary of the Scopes Monkey Trial.
    • AE has a lot of new transfers and a very good incoming freshman class to mess with the current players.  That's why I'm saying don't sleep on AE.  Many are thinking they can't get back to their winning ways but I think this 2025 team will open a lot of eyes and let the state know, AE won't be an easy win anymore.
