I don’t see anyone in that region beating them.

Good thing we get our hogs back up front, will have a good core to start with.Losing 55 will hurt but should be able to fill his spot with a quality player.Whats it look like in the backfield.Would be nice to have a bunch of bulldozers and a couple rabbits!

Cland returns the entire offensive line and three key skill players.  Big shoes to fill losing Coffey and Benfield.  We also need to find a signal caller but I like the idea of having an experienced line to protect who's back there.  We will be decent and should once again represent this poor decrepit region.

Didn’t you boys have a Benfield RB a long time ago?

We will have some speed back there but there will be some good size also. The new pig skin slinger will help out in the secondary as well.

SMH, I knew it was too good to be true that SP would have an easier road. I remember in 2014 we finally just ran out of great players because we lost a really talented senior class that had 1 gold ball, 2 silver balls, and lost to the eventual champion in 2012 by 1 point in round 2.  The next year we went 6-6. For some reason I don’t think that’s going to happen to you boys.

You guys will be the favorite next year but we will be better than most people think. IMO. Next years schedule will be tougher with the out of region games. Meigs,Leonor City,Loudon and Gatlinburg Pitt. Coalfield will be a tough out as well.

Being the favorite hasn't worked out too well lately.  At least the last couple years. I believe a lot of folks had Coalfield with their qb the favorite 2 years ago.  Yall this year.  Way too early to tell.

Plus high school seems to be going the way of the NBA. Lets see what players we can assimilate.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
