Class 1A 2019

Lake County football season is over so I can look ahead to 2019. Who will have a legitimate shot at the state title in 2019?In the west Lake County and Huntingdon are the clear cut favorites. Other schools in the west with an outside chance will be Freedom Prep if they keep their players from other schools in Memphis. Never count out Wayne Co with coach Rice. Cornersville may be better than everyone thinks. In the east So. Pitt and Greenback should be the teams to beat. Coalfield, Cloudland and Whitwell may have an outside chance. Not sure what other schools outside the above mentioned have returning. Imo Lake County, Huntingdon, So.Pitt and Greenback will be the top 4 teams in 2019.

Coalfield will be pretty tough next year. They will be in the mix for sure.

All of the above mentioned will be good next year. Don't overlook Oliver springs. They will be decent and could make waves in region 2.  The offensive line is mostly all gone but most athletes from this year return for 2019. Region 2 should be fun.

3 and 10 are seniors. 4, 44, 21, 15, 18, all return for one more year and 2 for two more years

Ok I thought 3 was a senior. I talked to his dad at the GB/whitwell game. He seemed to be a good guy.

If they lose the line,#3 and #10.They wont be as good as they think.

This is pretty much spot on. Coalfield should be a contender along with the other 4. GB will have their work cut out for them tho. They’ll have to earn it.

We know Cville will be good but with the players you lose, unless you have some coming in, most don’t believe you’ll be as dominant. If you know something we don’t, then that might be a different story.
