I think H2O and Westmoreland will be down from last year. But, ehhhh, who you got as second if it isn't one of those??? East, Jackson, or Cascade?

East Robertson at second and H2O at third and a fight for 4th between Cascade and Westmoreland. Jackson will do good to win two games.

I made the statement on here somewhere the other day that this would happen. Daddy Clint secretly wants this to be the time that Trousdale returns to their former glory. It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s not helping call plays this season. Make no doubt about it.. he will support this head coach 100 times more than Creasy, Barker, or Waggoner.

Coach Clint calling plays No we Sony do that here in TC. Coach Satt is hands off with football program he just watches practice from time to time.

I’m sorry to tell all you naysayers, but H2O will have a lot of talent and be a handful for anyone the next three years.

They have fielded extremely talented junior high teams for the last several years. These same kids have stayed together and have only got more talented ( which should be the norm as they get older) add the transfers that have came in and it equals good football teams.

We had a lot of talented seniors last year, no doubt, but most of those seniors only played on one side of the ball. That of course means we had a lot of underclassmen playing football last year ( there is still a lot of experience coming back)

I of course don’t know how this season will turn out, but I would not be surprised if we aren’t competing at a high level again this year!!

I say all that to say this... I believe there will still be a lot of chest bumping this fall, but unlike several of you TC posters, I will wait to I see what we look like before I start doing to much crowing!!

I don't doubt that H2O will have a good team but it still won't be on the same level as last year team. Maybe part of me is wishing that Watertown takes a step back so that TC can breeze through this regular season schedule and not be on the road doing playoffs like last year. H2O deserves all the credit for putting TC on the road. With the group of seniors, you'll have last year there is no way you'll have the same caliber of the team this season.

I TOTALLY agree with this. This is what I was referencing yesterday when I made the statement.   Trousdale won’t have a close region game this season. H2O still finishes second though.

When was their “former glory”?  It is not like they have been irrelevant for the past few years.

Not irrelevant, but they haven’t quite been on the same plane as they were back in the day. I would say former glory was while they were winning all those state titles under Clint.

Won 3 under Creasy and that was not that long ago.

Yes, they did. They had some solid teams for sure. When I think of Trousdale I think of all those 90’s teams. I still remember watching them outclass a Bruceton team in 1990 for a Clint’s first title. I was home for the weekend and went to Vandy to watch all 3 games that day.

I remember them beating ole Scooter Edwards from DCA.

I still think Creasy was the better than Clint.

I disagree with you. Coach Satt develops all that talent that Creasy won with at TC. Creasy is a great coach but coach Satt is a hall of fame and Creasy still runs Coach Satt offense.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
