Humboldt played nervous 1st half scoring only 17 points but like I said, “ Humboldt defense was going to be the key & keeping it close until 4th! Great game & season to Fayetteville, Vikings lets come out playing at tip tomorrow’

The only reason Humboldt won was because  # 20 got injured in first half and didn't return. Think he had 14 when he went down. Fayetteville destroyed them on boards. Best team didn't win.

So, I guess Humboldt defense didn’t have nothing to do with the game, Humboldt missed so many shots and only scored 17 points first half! Also, Humboldt didn’t box out first half & giving up easy lay ups! Humboldt shut down middle with press & hit the boards and Fayetteville couldn’t handle the press in the fourth quarter which was the difference! Fayetteville, also was tired the fourth quarter and didn’t no one want to handle ball during press! Great season Fayetteville but Vikings shut down number 0 & 23 second half only giving up 28 points & scoring 46!

Yea the 1st half but after that it was all humboldt Fayetteville couldnt handle the press they was like oh Crap see ya next year been beep beep ya better go crank the bus oh I forgot they probally already home

Watched this game. Game changed when #20 when out. He had 16 points 8 boards the first half in only 13 minutes.

Fayetteville had more total rebounds in the 1st qtr (21) than Humboldt did the entire game (20). Fayetteville ended with 49. The game definitely changed when #20 went out. That's too bad, I wanted to see both at full strength.

Number 20 was a good player but Humboldt's defense was dialed in big time. Really tells you how good Humboldt is. Humboldt played tentative first half on offense and never really looked great any time offensively but they created transition buckets with their defense. Abernathy really got to the rim in the second half. I really would be suprised if Humboldt didn't win it all. I just think Humboldt's defense is a game changer. I did watch Humboldt play Columbia Academy last year and they can handle the ball and shoot. Going to be interesting, but I like Humboldt's chances because they are winning and not playing their A game.
