I tried to tell people on the other thread but they had to find out for themselves. I don't know of any team up here that can improve enough to overcome the talent of the west. Dadof2 Posted March 25, 2020 Report Share Posted March 25, 2020 9 hours ago, allsportsmatter said: why is it harder to win a state championship in high school than in middle school dont we play the same people Not all middle schools play in the TMSAA, if that’s what you’re talking about, and you have to take into account that a lot of kids develop in high school, and you get transfers, and in my opinion classification has a lot to do with it, for example there’s a good chance Meigs will be back in 1A, and they have played 2A and 3A in middle school, and with a really good group of 8th graders coming in that plays a lot of travel ball, that puts them in the mix, and South Greene could be back in 1A as well. West has really really upgraded its kids leagues and plays a ton all the time. Do think it evens back up. South Green was dominant a few years ago.
