2A REGION 5

ok so why would Forrest win in a "3 teams with a 4-1 record" scenario

That's my interpretation of a very poorly written guideline. Assuming Forrest beats Community and Cascade they should have more wins.

A. In Class 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A, all teams are required to play all other teams within their region. The teams with the best region records shall be declared the region winner, runner-up, third and fourth place and shall advance to the first round of the football play-off series. B. If at any point when the following tie-breaking procedures are applied, one team has beaten all the other teams that are tied for a play-off position, that team shall be rated above the others. C. In the event of a tie for the region winner, runner-up, third-place, or fourth-place team, if either team(s) has defeated the other(s) in regular-season play, the team(s) shall be rated above the other(s) in the standings. After the region winner has been determined, the tie-breaker procedure shall begin all over again starting at the top to work out the runner-up position. The procedure shall be repeated to determine the third- and fourth-place teams. D. The following tie-breaking procedures shall be applied and all regular-season games, both region and non-region, shall count (After each of the following steps have been applied, item C above shall be applied.): 1. The team with the greatest number of victories. 2. The team who plays the greatest number of teams who win 50 percent or more of their games. 3. The team who has the greatest number of victories over teams winning 50 percent or more of their games. 4. The team whose opponents have earned the most victories. 5. The team whose opponents have received fewer defeats. 6. Coin Flip

Y’all don’t want any part of Peabody or Meigs. Y’all are good but in my opinion Peabody and Meigs will meet in Cookeville. I have seen both of them live and they are very good. I’m going to watch Meigs play again this Friday it should be a great game. It is what it is General.

They won’t need cough syrup to be loopy IF we get to play them

we have heard this crap for a while. sometimes it is correct. as in marion. we were not in their class. i admitted it then. was plain as day

sometimes it is INcorrect. as in Meigs, Tyner, and Watertown 2016. Forrest beat all three.

Maybe we will find out. If Forrest doesnt get healthy, we wont beat Lewis

I think Summertown is 2 TDs better than Eagleville based on what I saw. Eagleville is capable of winning tho.

Hard to tell. The Forrest team that played Eagleville was 4TDs better than what suited up last Friday night. Eagleville has owned the Eagles having a running clock in 2017 and 2018.

If we don't get several players back in the next 3 weeks we won't face either.

Peabody is in a class of their own (like an Alcoa but with more obnoxious posters). Meigs County has done nothing to deserve being placed in the same class so far.

Mighty Meigs must run the Region 2- 2A gauntlet of Wartburg Central (2-4) , Cumberland Gap (1-5) , Rockwood (3-5) , and Oneida (5-2). Oneida is the one mentioned as a real threat with a 5-2 record. However, those 5 wins have come against teams with a combined 12-21 record including the 3 region games plus powerhouse York Institute and Oliver Springs in 4OT (who lost to Greenback 50-0). Region 1 may be weaker.

Meigs has a  joke of a cakewalk to the semis vs the Trousdale - Watertown - Tyner winner. The nine other teams they have to compete with to reach the 2A semis are less than formidable. Meigs hasn't sniffed Cookeville in three years competing with team who couldn't earn a home playoff game in any other 2A region in the state.

Obnoxious posters who are you referring to ? We like to joke around but not a lot of it serious. I don’t think I have seen one poster beat their chest from Peabody.
