thegreatone36
Runnin, that sounds rather impressive against last years D2-A champion. How did we match up size vs size & speed..? MJGOLDENBEARS
Things must be coming together nicely north of the Davidson county border.

thegreatone36
Good to hear that we are bringing that typical Gallatin bruising defense back. Going to need to show no mercy with the teams that are now ahead of them. That is a solid football program they played today. Time to build on this and move onto Shelbyville. Get better every day, each rep matters.

I was there a little over and hour and CPA had 2 first downs by passing and negitive yards rushing via sacks. CPA was bigger up front than Gallatin . Gallatin shot themselves in the foot on drives with 1 fumble and a center over the QB head for about a 20 yd loss. Also numerous holding penalties and illegal procedure penalties that killed drives. This new coach seems to have the boys playing hard. Biggest thing I noticed from last year team very few if not any missed tackles . I was very impressed ! Still a ways to go and improvements to be made but overall it was a good performance by the Wave. CPA did not look like the teams of past but they definitely were not a pushover either. Coaching staff for Gallatin has done a great job preparing these kids and it looks like everybody is having a good time. Kids were talking and congratulating each other after plays and the difference is apparent. Lot to look forward to, just need to continue on and get better. Looks like they have settled on a QB and the passing game is starting to come around. Defensively....wow!!

Fballfan1978
All this talk about HB ( whose overrated at times) being one of the better teams in 5A and Gallatin is doing this to champions sounds very good for them going forward. It definitely sparked some interest. CPA has done very well since going D2. We will really know what they are made of next Friday when Oakland (IMO the best team in this state, period) comes into the Waveyard for the Jamboree. chainsaw2
Not trying to throw cold water at all, but CPA this year is not close to CPA last year. They had 30+ seniors and some D-1 guys that graduated. Glad to hear Gallatin is looking good.
