H2O has gotten back into the pee wee football again this year. We agree on this it has been great for TC program as well it's like your getting a head start with a kid learning the game at a young age.

I recently heard that, I think it’s a great move!

I know not many people would believe that having 3A enrollment hasn't helped Watertown, but its just the truth. Since Watertown's sudden explosion of winning seasons, they're have been at most 3 players that were from outside the Watertown area/ school zone. Only 1 of them being a significant role player. The real reason for the sudden success in the past 3-4 years has been that each class has stayed together since junior pro and bought in to making the program better. However with the student numbers growing and not many football players coming with that growth, Watertown will drop off eventually. Even with open zoning, many prospective players will go to Mt Juliet or Lebanon. And with a 5th public high school being built in Wilson County, it will only stretch the talent pool thinner. I just hope Watertown is able to stay competitive in the man years to come.

You’re 100% right, but unfortunately that fall off will be here sooner than later. This freshman class does not look very promising to me.

They could of of course get better with time, but I just don’t see many good football players in this group. I hope I’m wrong!

Hoping for a few more years of these winning seasons but I do agree that drop off will come soon. Especially when we are put into 3 or possibly even 4A

    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
