Good coach and good guy. Was talking to one of the assistant coaches the other day, and he told me a portion of the guys on the Tiger staff played for Martin as well. I always enjoyed having him in Decatur, and I think he liked working here too. I think if our football supplements had been a bit higher at the time, he would have stayed for many more years.

Alot of CoachT posters will be coming to our 2nd game. Most I'd imagine of all Greenback guys will be there, Ambassador and Southtowner from SP. Quite a few Meigs guys but they don't post alot will probably be there. Will most likely be a full house.

      TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
