I guess Knoxville East is part of Austin East and Knoxville South is part of South Doyle now. Back in the late 1970s / early 1980s Knoxville Doyle's cheerleaders outfits were identical to those worn by Burger King workers. I'd walk by them at Oak Ridge basketball games and order Whoppers with cheese. I was never very funny. East and Austin went in together in the late 60's, South and Young went in together for South-Young and then that went into Doyle which became South-Doyle in the mid 90's. Knoxville played a couple of blocks down from the school where the four softball fields are located next to where the Knoxville Smokies used to play in a stadium call Evans-Collins Field a block off of Magnolia Avenue. Catholic played their home games there before heading to West Knoxville in the early 2000's or late 90's.

I watched it once and I'm not sure why I would want to watch it again. I would rather move on to the DB game and hope for a better showing. blazer1set
DB takes this one 21-20. The Tribe is slowly turning things around in Kingsport and will start the season 2-0 for the first time in 5 years. Indian D will stretch but not break. The O will struggle at times but make the plays when it counts.

No way OR quits and gives up 38 points.. I am not ready to pick the score just yet but I think OR can get 21 on DB. Gibbons will be facing a secondary that struggled last week. As for now, my prediction is...PAIN!

Try struggled for the past 20 years. For as long as I can remember the only pass defense DB has ever had has been a strong pass rush. When they go up against a well coached offensive line or a mobile quarterback with a good arm, the secondary gets torched. There's two reasons Tennessee High lost to DB Friday night. (1) they wasted half their plays trying to run the ball (30 attempts for negative yardage) and (2) their QB left the game with an injury at the beginning of the forth quarter. Tennessee High had around 350 yrds. passing in the game. Probably could of had 500+. And they are not even a very good team.
WillieTheWildcats
The Prediction Pick NOBODY Has Been Waiting For... The Mighty Wildcats of Oak Ridge 21 The Indians of Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett 10 The Oak Ridge Defense did not get the credit they deserved after the HVA game. Why? Everybody was focussing on the inept Wildcat Offense. Defense is Oak Ridge's bread and butter and the Cats will be even more nasty in Kingsport. The Offense has been the target of public complaints and ( I'm guessing here ) a lot of focus during this week's practices. The extra attention will pay off this Friday night as Oak Ridge will produce 3 TDs as compared to one against Hardin Valley Academy. The same can be said of the point after unit. Three attempts and three successes. Those who are making the long trip North to K-sport will have an enjoyable return ride and feeling much better about the Wildcats team and coaches. RWR!
