Other notes:

  • Summertown's field resembles a minefield in Hanoi in the 60s.
  • #1 and #12 were players for S'town
  • Summertown's field resembles the crater in Diamond Head
  • How on earth did that team lose to Mt Pleasant
  • How on earth did that team barely beat Loretto in DOUBLE ot!!! Loretto is not good!
  • Summertown's field resembles the Chocolate Hills in the Phillipines.
  • Best hamburgers in the region.
  • Summertown's field resembles a truckstop toilet after its occupant visited at 4am after a mexican buffet and a bottle of cuervo

Fact is Summertown held Forrest scoreless in the first half and the game was tied until 4:30 left in the 4th. In the end it was a 7 point game and Summertown gave Forrest all they wanted. Like I said above, that game coulda went either way and Forrest was the team that fortune decided to shine on that night. You said yourself that you kinda lost your breath when that wide open pass was two steps overthrown. Overtime woulda been so much fun to watch.

Word I got was they thought it was just a stomach virus Friday but then went to ER Saturday and had surgery this morning.

Ok, so not a confirmed diagnosis, just what was thought to be a virus, but then turned out to be his appendix. It’s a good thing he didn’t take a hit during the game and it rupture.

    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
    • Lieutenant Flip flops is on a roll. #1 recruiter in Anderson Co, fo-sho.
    • Has there been any effort to contact college coaches other than Trevecca?
    • 5star put out and article about the QB competition for Clinton like they have 9 other schools. They listed a QB that was previously on Powell’s roster last year. He was the Frosh that could throw great wearing number 5. He was not mentioned as a transfer.  HC was quoted in getting two running back transfers one being from OR that has been mentioned on these boards as well as another from TKA.  I had heard about these and more transfers. It is impressive that Clinton is able to steal away from the recruiter at Powell.  I wonder if the issue with the principal will change that or open the gates even more.
