The Knoxville News Senseless Prepxtra formerly was one of best prep newspapers around, now since USSRToday bought them, along with nearly every major newspaper in the state the coverage sucks. A 1-5 D2 school will get coverage before a 6-0 2A rural school will. Donovan Stewart does a great job of covering statewide  NE Tennessee has decent coverage but no one ever hears from them unless it DB or Elizabethton. Bobby Rader does a better job than all 4 USSRToday papers in his 2 minute Tennessee High School Football Report on the VolNetwork.

I used to look forward to picking up one of the free gameday papers on Saturday to look at the Knoxville area prep stories.  It has gone down big time over the last few years.
