Powder Puff game on Thursday, TV game on Friday, and I think the cheerleaders are sponsoring some kind of meal before the game on Friday as well. I know Polk is not very strong, but it is still a big game against a longtime, traditional rival - gotta love it. As always, proud to be a Tiger! Also, I never congratulated the middle school team on their championship last week! Put up a whopping 66 points - WOW! I love the spirit of Meigs County in all their sports, from the little ones through high school. Nothing like small town pride. Meigs does it as well as anyone! I went to the middle school championship game to see a couple of Central Middle kids play that I know. Both are starters, but one of them was dreading the game because as he said, "Meigs hits very hard and they don't quit!" I told him Meigs attitude is what makes them a good football team, and he should do the same. I was shocked how physical Meigs was for a middle school, but was disappointed in Central's players just quitting after they started out playing pretty well. I could see the fear in them before halftime.

Sometimes crowds just need a push, and so do the kids imo. That's my point, we do that kind of stuff already. I know a lot of people don't like the music but I know a lot more people who do. The players love it so that should really be all that matters.

They’re won’t be any let down. Meigs JV could probably beat Polk's varsity this year. I hope the new Polk coach can rebuild the program and get kids wanting to play. He inherited a total trainwreck. We’ve had “our time”. Hoping defense keeps it straightened out... good showing Friday at Oneida after getting embarrassed at SP.

Their starting QB was hurt in a game against Dayton City and played 3 qtrs with a broken arm. Come to find out, the backup has been playing with a broken bone in his foot for the last couple of weeks. I was pretty upset with how Central's fans acted the entire night. Adults should know how to act. Edited October 21, 2019 by TigerNation

Id say we could be a little better on pass coverage than what we have been but other than that we have a great defense. Offense on the other hand and I guess I'll be the first to say it out loud has taken a step back in our passing game. If we don't get it tightened up by the playoffs the way we had to play against Trousdale last year wont be a viable option. I would say our run game is better than last year and easily. But passing which opens up the run alot of times needs attention. I know #2 has had some injuries and he is a great reciever, but we really gotta pull that together if we can within the next couple weeks. What do you folks think? Felt bad for the other team when I realized there was another half to be played. The opposing fans did not take it well even though we didn't run it up. I mean honestly we had 1 td the 2nd half. Raider1234
I agree, not a polk fan but he works hard given time he will make a difference, it goes in cycles at smaller schools as it usually hits every small school for a stretch eventually. I wouldn't know how to put it together but if someone knew one of the coaches, they could possibly put it together. Ask the kids what songs for 3rd and maybe 4th if were going for it. Not sure if their are rules against anything like that though. But some implementation to get the crowd more involved would be great. The last 2 games I've tried myself to get them into it and they responded well actually. Edited October 21, 2019 by Imthayeti

Both are great kids and come from good stock. Central fans, what can I say? I didn't go to Central but attend most of their games due to family. Central does have some good fans, but many of them are just ignorant and are proud to show it in every sport. I was more disappointed in how Central's coach acted that night disputing a call. Very poor sportsmanship and pitiful example for his players in how he acted. He deserved getting ejected.
