@GeneralForrest where do you think this team stacks up against the 15 and 16 teams? I would have to think that they are similar.

2019 is the most talented group to come through the school. That is why the coachT frustration was so high in 2017 and 2018. No where near the team results with the talent on hand. Five of this year's seniors were key contributors in 2016 as freshman.

Only knock on this year's team is the numbers. We literally have over a dozen kids walking the halls that would be playing, many would start, who left the program over the last 2 years. Coaches get an "A" for X's and O's at this point in 2019 but an "F"  for player recruitment and retention. Our orchestration department could use some pointers from the Greenback/ SP bunch.

Final thoughts.

To get to this game tonight means something. It's the product of hard work for the last almost 12 months. But you dont get here to play. you get here to win.

Now, i will quote th emost important coahc in the history of the state of Tennessee

General Neyland's 7 Maxims

1. The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win.

2. Play for and make the breaks and when one comes your way - SCORE.

3. If at first the game - or the breaks - go against you, don't let up... put on more steam.

4. Protect our kickers, our QB, our lead and our ball game.

5. Ball, oskie, cover, block, cut and slice, pursue and gang tackle... for this is the WINNING EDGE.

6. Press the kicking game. Here is where the breaks are made.

7. Carry the fight to our opponent and keep it there for 48 minutes.
