  • CoachT changed the title to Time to get volleyball started

Brentwood and Nolensville are in the same situation as Summertown then, defending State Champs with very minimal graduates from last years team.

In AAA, I predict a repeat of last years state championship game with same results, Brentwood will win their 8th straight State Championship with a win over Houston.

Went to scrimmage between Summertown and Lawrence County/ amazing to see how many sport starved people attended ( social distancing of course & everyone wore masks lol ) come on TSSAA let’s get back to normal - it is what it is

Didn't think scrimmages were allowed by the TSSAA?

Single A news: Harpeth lost 5 seniors from the team (including two All-State players playing at the next level this year) that finished third in state last year, BUT are returning 4 players that saw a lot of floor time. They also have a new coach that everyone is excited about. So, don't count them out.

I believe Hickman County only lost 2 seniors and they regain their good middle who missed all of last season with injuries. It should make District 10-A & Region 5-A more exciting this year.

As usual, Summertown and Loretto will likely be the teams to beat in single A.

Released by TSSAA on July 22, 2020

  • Scrimmages and/or practicing with another team are not allowed.
  • Teams and players must follow local mandates and the rules of the facility regarding social
    distancing and cleaning protocols.
  • Schools are expected to substantially maintain social distancing between players, coaches and
    spectators.
  • If a local mandate is absent, schools are encouraged to adopt the Tennessee Guidelines for
    Non-Contact Sports
    .

Hard not to see it since it is the first bulleted point.

I guess some like  to make their own rules. The question is will they self report and get slapped or let a competitor turn them in and get whacked.
