Mcewen needs the field time. They are sloppy with penalties.

True but just hand the ball off to the big machines in the back field and get out of the way. I have never seen two guys (actually brothers) who are built the same and both can bounce defenders off like pin-balls. It's interesting to see how they fair against an inexperienced Mustangs team but who have a lot of talent.

Interesting! If y’all play this game I’m picking McEwen! You can read Huntingdon like a book man. I’m very surprised they whooped our tail like they did with the coaching staff we have!

You've read the Mustangs like a book for 4 years and haven't beat us yet. Our offense doesn't have great speed, but our defense is pretty tough. We beat the Tigers this year because yall are slow. We ain't fast but we're quicker than the Tigers.

Say what you want! I was screaming every dang play y’all was running just about. I was very disappointed in our coaching staff this year. McEwen will beat y’all this year if y’all play.

1st downs Mustangs will sweep right or left. 2nd down they will counter to the right more than likely. 3rd and short it’s up the middle or if it’s third and long or 4th and 5 or more they will pass. It is what it is. Y’all beat us fair and square @Croppygenius there isn’t any shame in my game bud. You took my post the wrong way or your just a arrogant * one of the two.

One things forsure. Mcewen is going to feed the Wills boys the ball 90% of the time and run reverses and Qb scrambles off of it. Don’t have to plan for the pass very much.

Waverly is definitely not slow. You beat Waverly bc our players didn’t show up. Safeties had force/contain in that defense they were running and they simply didn’t come down hill and get off the blocks and force the runner inside. Both safeties are first year players at that position. Offensively we just dropped balls that we should have caught and the center, who is young, let your DL up the middle all game. Bottom line, y’all won, we lost, but let’s face it, y’all are down and we didn’t show up. We did however learn and get better for the next week. I hope McEwen beats the brakes off y’all. Then McEwen can come to Waverly and redeem ourselves from last year vs them and losing to a mediocre Huntingdon team.

McEwen may very well beat us. Got a lot of respect for them. Hit us harder last than year than anybody but Lake Co. Better get us this year cause the next 4 or 5 years we gonna be a handful.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
