Probably a good choice. Beech and Central made sense as far as making Powell a better football team, but I’m not sure they could find that type of opponent or even should at this point. Rest is a good thing.

Agreed. Let's just hope the Campbell County game doesn't get cancelled on 10/2, because the last thing they need before the West game is another unexpected week off. They've got plenty to work on, and they've definitely got some kids that need more live reps.

Clinton is a no go.  They do not want to play Powell.  Straight forfeit.  They will not make up that game, so they will need another team to play 10/16.  I don't think they are going to add anyone this week, and use this week as there by week instead of the scheduled by week of 10/16.  They will look to have a game on 10/16 and that gives them more time to find an opponent.

Powell has nothing to prove unless Maryville/Alcoa/Catholic open up. 

An off week is more beneficial than lining up an easy win and risking an injury with West in a few weeks.

thats what im saying. I would pay high dollars to see Alcoa and Powell play. 2 different styles. Powell is explosive and Alcoa is shut you down. Would be interesting

I’d say Powell found it more beneficial to play a game against another top 5a team in the state with Beech vs a game that wouldn’t really matter much. Just my guess.

Honestly don't think it would be interesting.  Alcoa would run away with it.

Alcoa, Maryville, Catholic- proven 

Powell- talented, not proven against the blue bloods above. I believe the would go 2-1 only knocking off Catholic. 

Powell has played like they are making a run at the gold ball this year.
