South Gibson @ Westview

I looked for a thread on this game and didn't see one. This is a key game for Region 7-3A rankings. How do y'all see this? I think it will be less than a 7-point spread.

Don’t think Westview’s defense can stop rushing attack of the Hornets. Think SG will get more stops on D than Westview. I believe SG wins this game

SGC wins. Friday night gives the Hornets all of momentum IMO

I tend to think that SGC will come away with the win here. I was not impressed with the D for Westview.

I think it will be similar to last years score. SGC won that contest 42-21. We don't play the games on paper they are played on the field. From my understanding, SGC is pretty healthy. We have lost a couple of starters on defense but we are pretty healthy. 

 

Charger fan, what kind of offense did westview attempt to run against yall? I know it wasn't much, but I did say attempt.

Well, we shut down their run game completely (maybe 1 good run by a running back). Simpson tried passing, but most of the time he was running for his life from our rushers. He scrambled for one first down, as I recall. His passing was either off target or passes were dropped by his receivers. I only recall a couple of significant completions by Simpson. To say that our D dominated was a gross understatement.

Simpson was much more effective last year running QB draws, etc. against us. I assume that Coach Kirby watched the 2019 film and made sure that didn't happen this time.

Westview is still a young team they only start about 3 seniors on offense and defense. We will do the best we can but this will be a tough game for Westview to win. Westview will need to move some players around on offense or Westview will be the 4th seed at the end of the season.

You do not see a 3 year starter at QB very often.... I know he a bunch of D1 offers...... When is he going to put the team on his shoulders and go win?
