Campbell County @ Powell - 10/2

This one is for you, MavsinFlight!

Campbell County was gashed by the single wing last week, so they can't be too happy about losing to Karns. They beat a mediocre Gibbs team a few weeks ago, and they've put up points against their weaker opponents, but they don't really have any wins of note. Defensively, CC is going to have trouble in this game, so their best shot is to win a shootout. I think CC could give Powell some problems in the running game, so we'll see if Lowe continues to rotate his linemen like he did against Central.

This game will not be close.  Doesn't matter what CC does.  lol

CC could have won the Karns game. Had no answer for the wildcat. They should really be ready for this game. In the past I would have said CC will give Powell a good first half. But I have not seen anything remotely of what they were for a couple years. There size is an issue going against Powell among most anything you want to name. Who knows they may come out ready to prove something and put some points on the board.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
