I agree, I don’t think SG is as good as they were last year up front but #1 can go! I believe y’all can win enough battles in the trenches to contain him but if you don’t he will hurt ya.

Last years SG was good, but could have been better with a different Cstaff in my opinion. This years team is as good, and maybe a little better in my opinion. The coaching is better for sure. Not quiet as big up front, but big enough and quicker on their feet. They are more balanced on offense, and the defense is definitely better.  They have more player makers than just #1, but I agree #1 is talented.

The Bulldogs looked to be just as good as last year if not better as well, and have plenty of play makers. Very solid and Well Coached.

This is a big game, and regardless of the outcome I think it’s only going to prepare both teams for a strong playoff run. I would like to see someone this side of Morristown take out MC. Looking forward to see how this one turns out.

Good post. Not sure how either match up with the other. Think it will be the best team either have faced.

Both have gone through their schedule fairly convincingly, accept maybe a couple of games.

Last season the dogs had their way with SG.  I’m not sure how much is different with this years H team vs last years, but regardless you know their gonna play tough.  SG is a little younger this year, but in my opinion have showed numerous growth/maturity as a team and are a tough bunch of kids. This game is a good test for both teams and they need it.  I don’t imagine Friday’s game will be anything like last season’s, but will be a true battle between the 2 top 2a teams in NET.

:thumb:  to get to that next level it’s what you gotta do. You gotta beat someone that’s proven or is at that next level. As a fan you wanna see most of your local teams get to that next level, especially those that have never been there before. It’s good for the sport and I believe other teams in area will feed off of it. I think most would agree, we want to see good competition/competitive games. However, I know there are some of those teams that you want to send home by beating the brakes off of them.  It’s not High School,  but as an example I would like to see the VOLS beat the brakes off of them gators this year.

    • Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
    • “No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team.” For language? I’m not seeing that as a dealbreaker.
    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
