Franklin County vs Shelbyville BRAWL

Maybe I'm really lost. I have not heard of the health department viewing videos to tell who has to be quarantined. When did this start?

Prime example is Dekalb County who is a strong contender in 4A who had a team outbreak and shut down for 2 weeks, unfortunately this includes the first round of the playoffs! Shelbyville returns to play 1 week later with 16 quarantined? Must be a county by county decision??

If so its again convenient for Shelbyville football. Seems like if teams are shutting down for contact tracing the "FAIR" thing for Shelbyville to do would have also been to sit. It would have also been the safe thing to do which is even more important than being fair.

They did all their 2 week quarantines though. The other schools you mentioned are just starting that 2 week clock. It’s about timing. Make sense?

You said 16 were under quarantine. How come the entire team was not?

The truth of the matter is that Shelbyville knew they had zero chance against Summit without those 16 players.  They knew they could beat FC without those same guys so they played.  They other truth is that there probably is evidence/video and they don't want to risk what the TSSAA will do.  Most coaches would do they same.

because they weren't all exposed within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes.

That is a great question!!  But there is not a logical answer because no one knows what or how the health department determines all this crap.

They’re reviewing videos from the cafeteria and other places where cameras are available and contact tracing. I have a nephew in middle school that was traced in the cafeteria line. It’s unreal

From my understanding if you ride the bus with an effected person then the whole bus gets quarantined

Doubt it.  The 6 feet thing is the general rule.
