Jackson county moving up is interesting tho i can understand it from a girls basketball standpoint

Covington, Ripley, Dyersburg, and Bolivar. Those are the only 3A teams that come to mind in West Tn. A couple of their traditional opponents moved down to 2A, but most of their longtime region opponents are 4A now... looks more like they moved up to stay with their old foes than to take the "easy" way out to advance in the playoffs. Before someone thinks that they're afraid of Covington (in region) or Alcoa, they need to think about how tough the road to the gold ball game in 4A is... much harder to get there in 4A, and Greeneville, Betsy, Anderson Co., and others aren't cupcakes either.

They haven't got it done yet, doesn't mean that they can't get it done at some point... they've been on the doorstep for a few years.

  With PC and Milan joining the usual suspects from the West, I'd assume that yes, it just got tougher for everyone.

They should they are the largest 4A team in state  .. 3 more students and they would have been 5A .. they woulda crapped  .. since they stayed 4A last time and had to travel to Chatt  ..  been good to see them in with OR , West , Central , POWELL  .. etc ... the Mavs would have crapped ..

Yeah they last time they were in 5A they had very little success and struggled

If they were back in 5A they would struggle to make playoffs (See Seymour, Portland)

Knoxville Catholic and Knoxville Central are the only ones to survive that by winning 5A Gold Balls in their second 5A Stints

They made playoffs in 5a from 2009 to 2014.

up to the 3rd round a couple times and out of round 1 a couple of times. By no means were they dominate or going to win a state title but to say they had little success isnt accurate. 

they were competitive in 5a.

Yes. TSSAA classification page has listed teams according to enrollment, and divided them into classifications (1A/2A, ect...). Just below (scrolling down) the natural cutoff, the teams approved to play up are listed in bold font.

Have your sissy black birds schedule them!  the word on the street is the AD is going to load the out of region schedule with the states best teams......because he can!

He is the one that scheduled three 6A teams and wanted Elizabethton and Greeneville which did not work out. Alcoa plays the best team in the state. If anybody is a coward its you big sissy chissy!
