Got a refund from NFHS last weekend. They are not ready for state-wide games. They looked like a middle school AV team.

In the case of James, he transferred out of BA in the middle of the playoffs 2 years ago. I don’t know the reason.

could be anything from doesn’t like coach to doesn’t like having to get up early to drive far away for school. only he and his family knows

Watching this game makes me realize more and more that athletes win high school games not coaching.   Yes coaches put those guys in position but any middle school coach could win with what Oakland has.  Usually Maryville does this to other schools due to having better athletes.   Oakland has some impressive dudes.

One and done, maybe. Most of the multi-year successes are  a combination of great players and coaches.

Maryville got hit hard early and can't keep up. Maybe than can get a little traction and not let this get worse for them.

No shame in losing to Oakland but most expected more from Maryville.
