Here's the quote Durdon. @cowcatcher said hes the best p4p in any div in the state. I'm saying I don't think hes the best 138 in the state.

Sorry for the confusion. I was simply saying that, "...one could argue (that Hunter) might be the best P4P in any of the divisions." Obviously, Chittum just slipped my mind. Hence, my follow up post suggesting he's simply in a different league than everyone else. My apologies! Hunter IS definitely one of the best P4P guys in any of the divisions and his top 20 ranking nationally justifies that opinion. No, he's definitely not Cody Chittum though LOL!

Again, Hunter isn't even the best 138 in the state.

Have they wrestle each other lately if so fine if not how do you guys know what these guys been doing as far as lifting training ? You don’t know ! there are some hammers at 38 that would be great matches but don’t just hate on a kid or pick your fav ! Ya never know who’s doing what

I'll be honest, I don't follow AAA as much as I do A/AA and DII, so I can't really argue you on the McDaniel point as I haven't watched or followed him. I'm just a fan of the sport, so can you educate me on the young man please? I know a multi-time state champ, but has he accomplished anything on the national scene? Please excuse my ignorance, I honestly just don't know. Thank you!

Yes he has. But its not my job to educate you. If you want to know his accomplishments google is a free search tool. Hunter is a great wrestler, but I think everybody is in agreement  here that he doesn't beat Trae.

Definitely not in agreement.  Hunter medaled at super 32 at 126 which was noted as one of the toughest weight classes this past year.  Trae has never medaled at super 32.  Hunter is ranked higher nationally than Trae has ever been on Flo as well.   At the elite 8 duals a few months ago I believe Hunter lost one match.  I'm well educated on Trae's accomplishments but that super 32 medal is big, really big. I'm not saying Hunter wins but that match is not a foregone conclusion.   I do wish AAA and AA were merged for individuals. Silly not to be.

Ok cool, the same argument could be made about Beast of the East as well as Fargo. The second I'd argue is a bigger medal than Super32

Let's be honest and say that everyone should be placed back together for the traditional/individual state wrestling championships.  The problem is that Lil Johnny's mom & daddy want for Lil Johnny to be a state champion.

This is absolutely the truth.  Would be great to see McDaniel, Mason, and Ivy at 138.  Throw in Hylton, Belcher, and Fort plus a handful of others and it would truly be must see wrestling.  The funny part is that I think the boys themselves really want this.

    • There's going to be more fallout from this.  It's not over.   A criminal investigation is also underway.  Additional school counselors have been fired.   As far as coach flip flops is concerned,  a lot of people knew he was flirting with disaster. He was recruiting failed athletes from other schools. Grades and discipline issues that got otherwise good athletes kicked off other area teams were playing at CHS. Grades, addresses or transfer rules be dam ed. It was just a matter of time.  It's a culture issue at the school. I've heard an assistant coach and teacher for another sports team was let go for not breaking up a fight on campus between 2 girls.  Supposedly he's only there because of coach flip flops, they're close.  That guy's kid, who's a great athlete in the school,  will probably transfer out to.  There's just so many layers to this .   I'm not sure the director of all Anderson county schools doesn't get bit by this somehow. He's the one who wanted, pushed for the principal at Clinton in the first place.  He initially denied anything had been uncovered when a local station broke the story.  He had to back track his statements.   It's ugly in Clinton right now folks.   Add in the fact that there's such a huge rivalry with ACHS across the river,  it makes it bitter for clinton fans if they say anything.  Especially given the dominance that ACHS has had over Clinton for 20+ years in  almost everything.
    • Congratulations to y'all. I have been texting some Huntingdon friends. What a great accomplishment. Proud of y'all. Keep battling.
    • I remember it happening, but I don't remember the details. I usually have headphones on so I don't hear the PA anyway. But it seems like a guy I know was doing it at one point, but he either didn't start it or didn't finish. I don't remember which.
    • Kreuziger from Huntingdon has been fantastic on the mound!  I think if the Fillies can score a couple of runs tomorrow it may be all they need to capture their first ever state championship in Softball.  Great day to be a Huntingdon fan!  Baseball team has won 17 in a row and plays for State Championship tomorrow also!
