The future Hillwood-Bellevue High

Someday, whenever it opens.  If metro is open zone and that will be the dazzling sparkling new school on the hill (literally)... will kids go there open zone even though they have a somewhat dismal track record the last 15 or so years, going back to after the season they won 12 games in a row and then turned back into a pumpkin?  Will lack of football tradition keep kids away when the school itself will be (you would expect) a big step up from what the current facility has turned into?

Didn't Ensworth already start running a bigger bus to Rutherford County?  Can they afford to poach more from there?

Let’s make no mistake, with the size of Ensworth’s checkbook they can afford whatever they want.  The football programs at the largest D2 programs are light years ahead of the MNPS programs.  That’s  not to say that the MNPS programs don’t have some very good players because the do.  The issue is that D2 schools run a program and MNPS have a team.  There is a big difference between the two. In the future I see the new Hillwood/Bellevue school having a good football team for MNPS but they will get very few of the kids that typically attend one of the D2 AAA schools.  If the new school would operate an activities bus to take kids home after practice/games they would get most of the good MNPS kids on the West side of Nashville
