I've watched the replay a few times, and I'm not so sure. of few of us were in the endzone and said that's going to Powell just based on where it happened. Hometown call but the picture does not lie. Wrong call to a great rivalry game.

That said, there were many questionable calls that went against both teams in that game. One of the more poorly officiated games I have seen in a long time. That crew really struggled. I think this is becoming more and more obvious. Clearly Scott did more with those kids at West than anyone since.

I have some family down there and it is not the easiest place to get people to buy-in. Kids absolutely loved him! Don't speak on things you aren't familiar with Knox. We don't need to make him out to much more than that. How long was he at West before he won state? And how long did he stay after he won? Czar
Scott was there for over a decade and won a ton of games with a program that was totally mediocre before him. Generated a ton of offense with his unique attack. What is your point?
Rerun92
heck, I just looked. Lamar Brown's record at Morristown-west was 71-34 (67% wining percentage). Scott Cummings' record at West was 101-58 (63.5%). Lamar Brown's record at West is 39-17 (69.6%) and it looks like the includes a 4-7 season. I also noticed, I hadn't realized until now, that Scott Cummings was a West Alumni. Based on the articles I'm reading it looks like he won state at West in December, and took a job at Cleveland in January. Is that correct? I lost count of the number of times Lamar has taken his team to Cookeville. Can you find that information for me in your records search? I'm friends with Lamar and I always do my best to stay unbiased because I pull for him and West so much. But it's undeniable Scott put West on the map. It took him a few years for sure but he changed that program. Coach Brown has done a great deal to sustain success since he's been there. Also for what it's worth I think a man's sum total is a lot more than one coaching stop that may not have gone spectacular.

That West/OR game looked awfully close last year if I remember correctly too. All I'm saying is that the numbers suggest they're both very good coaches. I don't know That I'd be dismissing the current over the former like you appear to be.
