What is there to hide? It's an open enrollment county. Didn't the single best player in Macon's program, over the last 20 years, come over from Red Boiling?

Why do people get so Defensive when I call it Putnam County High School when it’s known that the best athletes in that Area all go to one school? Yes One player moved all the way from Red Springs to LaFayette to play not an entire roster in all sports every year.

So he was the first and only RBS zone kid to ever play at Macon? Nope.  And if truth be told. Lots of kids in baseball, basketball, and now football that can't make it at Upperman go to Cookeville to play. It works both ways.  Basketball had several this past year.  And lots of the Upperman bus zone includes Cookeville zip codes and parts of the Cookeville city limits on the west side. It not Baxter high school, it's Uppetman High, western Putnam County area school systen. Macon and Upperman schools have simular enrollments, so line up and play ball. Enough with the bs excuses.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
