It’ll be a good game! As usual I’m pulling for Westview! A victory in this means a home game for the playoffs! Another test for us!

Not really- top two seeds get 1st Rd home games. But a win will get you home field through at least the 3rd round. I’m super happy to be back playing West Tennessee meaningful games in the regular season as opposed to the Perry County, Collinwood, Wayne County games we have had over the last few seasons.

That works for me.

I don’t figure Martin will have a lot of rushing yards against Huntingdon defense. Unless it’s the qb getting  outside the pocket making plays. But I do think they will throw the ball all over on Huntingdon defense unless the pass rush gets the qb outside the pocket where he makes the big plays with his feet. But Martin defense won’t stop Huntingdons run offense either. Huntingdon could have a big play or two on a pass play on 1st or 2nd downs if they would throw on theses downs if Martin has all eleven in the box to stop the run like everyone else does against Huntingdon.

Gonna pull for Chargers on this one. Will be a big test for both teams. Methinks it’ll probably be an overflow crowd on both sides of the field too, so that’ll be exciting for fans & teams alike. The ‘Stangs will get that electric-prod zapper put on them by the Chargers though. Westview will do their thang to the ‘Stangs & come away with a win.

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
