County already took 77 kids from SC and sent them to Beech in anticipation of Liberty Creek Opening...That is why SC is 5A and Beech moved to 6A....

Per the TSSAA website for classification purposes Beech is at 1638 and SC is at 1277.  Cutoff for 6-A is 1515.  Hville is at 1561, Gallatin is at 1754 .  Keep in mind these numbers were locked in end of Sept 2020.

The school zone map was released today for Liberty Creek High School which is the new school opening in Sumner County in the Fall of 2022.  At first glance it appears that Beech and Station Camp will both lose a good amount of students with Beech losing the most.  The other school zone maps were not released.  Looks like Liberty Creek will have to play a JV schedule in football in 2022 as everyone’s schedules are already set.

White House not losing any kids to the new school?

Beech will lose far more than Station Camp will. Really one neighborhood that people were not suspecting is the only one. Thanks to the county, anything on the Beech side of Long Hollow Pike was zoned for Beech a couple years ago, so was not a big surprise when all that was labeled Liberty Creek. The county will have to do something with the 8th graders that are wanting to play sports. Liberty Creek will have limited sports it’s first year with most of them on a JV only schedule, will those 8th graders zoned for LC be able to choose SC or Beech still?

All sports besides varsity football should be ok as their schedules are set yearly.  Wondering what the county thinks the enrollment will be. What class and region will the school be placed in by the TSSAA? Highly doubt 8th graders will be given a choice.  In Wilson County when Green Hill opened they were not.

The only reason Green Hill played a varsity schedule last year is because Republic Charter School dropped their program and Green Hill picked up their open games.

True, if not for that GH would have played a JV schedule. Another coach in Wilson County got in some hot water over his activities regarding losing potential players. Got slapped on the wrist by the TSSAA.  Anytime a new school opens there is always a number of people who will be upset about where they are zoned.

I bet that same coach puts in for the Liberty Creek job too,
