South Side over South Gibson tonight easy

Lexington over North Side in a mild upset. North Side too focused on South Side and will over look them

Ripley over Munford  easy

Haywood over Crockett easy

Fayette Ware over Ridgeway easy

Millington over Bolton in a close one.

Looks good but I believe Northside wants that rematch bad enough that they will mop the floor with Lexington.  Will not be close

You could be right but Lexington has size that can match up with NS. They have a 6'8" kid and several other kids that are long. I saw them 3 times this year and their problem the first two times was they didn't make perimeter shots. The third time they did. So if they make shots I think they win and not sure NS can think of anybody but SS right now.

North Side finally beat South Side - I watched this game - Hats off to North Side - However, if South Side made lay ups they win going away - They missed a ton of lay ups - Good for the North Side kids - Wallace is a dude! Not sure if he is going to play at the next level but there is a school some where that would take him for sure. Both of these teams will be in the boro

Congrats to NS. Impressive to beat JSS any when they have a monopoly on the city and get all of madison countys best players! Isn't their coach in his first year at NS

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
